Natalia Obrochta, MSW Intern

Natalia is a first-level intern at Family Horizons receiving advanced training on the intersection of family law and mental health. Natalia is a dedicated and compassionate professional with a strong background in psychology and extensive experience working with adolescents and children. Natalia earned a degree in Psychology from Loyola University Chicago and is currently a graduate student of social work at Loyola. 

 

Natalia gained invaluable experience in wilderness therapy and at a residential treatment facility, working closely with struggling adolescents to support their emotional and behavioral development. This hands-on experience honed in Natalia's skills in crisis intervention, counseling, and building therapeutic relationships. 

 

Currently, Natalia works as a paraprofessional at an elementary school, where she provides specialized support to kindergarten students in special education.

 

Outside of work, Natalia is passionate about rock climbing and camping, finding joy and relaxation in the great outdoors. Natalia also cherishes spending time with friends and family.
